BC’s Grefe named ODAC Special Teams Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. (BC Athletics) – Aiden Grefe of the Bridgewater College football team has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s first Special Teams Player of the Week of the 2026 season.

The senior punter opened the season with a standout performance against Stevenson. Grefe averaged 44.8 yards per punt on Friday night to tie his mark for the eighth highest mark in program history from last season. He also tallied a pair of 50-yard punts, highlighted by a 59-yard blast to flip the field. He also pinned the Mustangs inside their own 20-yard line on two different occasions.

BC is back in action on Saturday to open the home slate against #20 Susquehanna. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
