NEW ORLEANS (JMU Athletics) – James Madison men’s basketball’s 2025-26 Sun Belt Conference schedule was announced on Thursday afternoon by the league office.

For the third straight season, JMU will open Sun Belt play on the road, beginning with December tilts at Old Dominion (Dec. 17) and Georgia Southern (Dec. 20). After the calendar flips, the Dukes will trek to Arkansas State (Jan. 3) for a bout with the Red Wolves to close a three-game swing away from home.

A busy month of January continues with two home games against Marshall (Jan. 7) and Old Dominion (Jan. 10) at the Atlantic Union Bank Center, where the Dukes went 8-1 against SBC foes in the 2024-25 season.

Next, the Dukes will hit the road for games at App State (Jan. 15) and Marshall (Jan. 17) before returning home to host West Division opponents South Alabama (Jan. 22) and Texas State (Jan. 24). JMU will close the month at Troy (Jan. 29) and Southern Miss (Jan. 31).

Louisiana (Feb. 4) highlights the beginning of a three-game conference homestand, followed by Georgia State (Feb. 12) and App State (Feb. 14). The final road contests of the regular season will come at Coastal Carolina (Feb. 18) and Georgia State (Feb. 21), before closing the slate with Georgia Southern (Feb. 25) and Coastal Carolina (Feb. 27).

The 2026 Sun Belt Conference Championship will run from Tuesday, March 3, to Monday, March 9 in Pensacola, Fla., at the Pensacola Bay Center.

The full non-conference schedule, along with game times, will be announced at a later date.
