A delay in the case of a Shenandoah County man who is accused of killing a woman a year ago.

Online circuit courts records showed that a pre-trial hearing last week for David Brian Knott of Edinburg was continued until August 17.

The 56-year-old Knott faces a first degree murder charge after he was accused of stabbing to death 63-year-old Cynthia Dellinger at her Shenandoah County home on January 26 of last year.

Virginia State Police are investigating the case because Dellinger is the mother of a Shenandoah County Sheriff’s employee.
