HARRISONBURG, Va – Attorneys for Jennifer McDonald filed a motion Tuesday to declare a mistrial in the federal case against the former executive director of the Front Royal-Warren County Economic Development Authority.

However, U-S District Court Judge Elizabeth Dillon denied the motion without prejudice.

McDonald faces nearly three dozen charges of wire and bank fraud, money laundering and aggravated identity theft after she was accused of defrauding the E-D-A out of at least 20 million dollars.

The trial began on August 21st in U-S District Court in Harrisonburg and was scheduled to take six weeks.

However, it has now been continued until October 23rd.
