HARRISONBURG, Va. –  The show must go on and it looks like it will at Regal in Harrisonburg.

Property owner Armada Hoffler announced at its most recent conference call that Regal cinemas have re-entered their leases, including for the property in Harrisonburg.  That’s a change from a couple months ago when Armada Hoffler announced the Regal lease had been terminated for non payment.

Things have changed according to Armada Hoffler CEO Lou Haddad, who says when they terminated that lease, Regal was anxious to be first in line to get back in. He says it’s a ramped lease, giving Regal some time to get fully open, which he said will hopefully be in the spring.

Haddad says the biggest part of the new lease is that his company gets 5 of the acres on the property to develop an apartment complex while sharing parking with the Regal.
