Crews in West Virginia Battle Wildfire in Pendleton County

BRANDYWINE, WV – Fire crews in West Virginia continue to battle that wildfire in Pendleton County.

The latest information from the U-S Forest Service shows that Heavener Ridge fire has burned around 150 acres about three miles east of Brandywine.

There are currently over 40 firefighters on the scene working to contain the fire but they report that is zero percent contained.

It was first reported Tuesday and the cause remains under investigation.

The West Side Shooting Range is temporarily closed to provide for public health and safety. Forest Service Road 151 is closed south of Stony Run.
