Random Stranger

Over the weekend my mom drove up from Florida and we took a little road trip up to NY to visit my Nana. My visit was just for the weekend since I have work and still the new kid round here so I came back on the good ole Amtrak Train. I actually enjoy that ride from NYC to Harrisburg PA. My train was early Sunday morning and had to go down to Penn Station right in the heart of NYC. I’m standing outside waiting for the bagel cart to open because how could I not want a bagel breakfast sandwich from NYC?! While I’m standing outside the train station and waiting for said bagel stand to open a gentleman approaches me with probably the most RANDOM and I would say inappropriate question to ask a stranger. He said and I kid you NOT “This is going to be odd and I apologize (so dude clearly knew he shouldn’t be asking said question, but he keeps going) are you a female or a male?! I’m taken back and speechless for about 30 seconds and give him an odd look like “wow you really just asked me that”. But he had… and he didn’t know what I was going to say next. I just kind of laughed it off because I know who I am and not much can offend me because people are just WILD these days. So I reply “I’m very much all woman and I really hope you aren’t trying to pick me up or use that as a pick up line because NOW you don’t stand a chance (not that he did before he opened his mouth). But yeah so that happened…. LOL! NYC always so welcoming to my visits! Haha!
