Join Harrisonburg Media Group as we support the Great Community Give on Wednesday, April 16th from 6:00am-8pm! Great Community Give is a sunrise to sunset event that promotes charitable giving to support nonprofit organizations in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County!

This year’s goal is $2 MILLION! 

In seven years, Great Community Give has raised $9.2 million for local nonprofits. With your help on April 16th, we’ll surpass the $10 million dollar mark and make that total $11 million dollars!

There are over 145 Nonprofit Organizations participating this year. The “Early Giving Phase” of Great Community Give is happening April 2nd through April 15th for donors wishing to give check and cash donations which will add into the big day on April 16th. Checks are made payable and sent directly to nonprofits of donors’ choice.

  • Follow these steps for Early Giving Phase / Checks & Cash donations:
    • Visit greatcommunitygive.org for information
    • Send checks and cash direct to nonprofits of your choice
    • Make check payable to nonprofit of your choice
    • Write ‘Great Community Give’ in the memo line of check donations
    • Cash and checks not accepted at event, and need to be delivered directly to the nonprofit
  • Follow these steps for Wednesday April 16th/ ONLINE donations

There will be prizes given to nonprofits throughout the day as well as donation matching and challenges by area businesses and organizations.

Join us as we give back to the place we call home. Non-Profit Organizations advance their missions by devoting their resources to causes we are all passionate about. What does non-profit mean to you? The Great Community Give is an initiative of the Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.
